Anyone on here that uses Massivore sinking pellets notice a smell in your room after use? when I feed my fish I put only enough that they will eat in one serving but after that even though there is not left over pellets in the aquarium, my room seems to smell for at least a couple hours after they have been fed. Never have this problem when feeding worm, shrimps or feeders. Anyone else experience this, or am I :screwy:.

i notice a fishy nastiness after feeding with massivore. however, i only notice it for a brief period after feeding. i think it usually clears up within 15 mins or so. maybe my nose isnt as good as yours!

The smell is caused by the pellets. Hikari made them smelly to attract large predatory fish.
Ensure that the package is sealed after feeding. Carbon would take the odour out of the water

Yes my wife knows when the fish have been fed due to the smell that lingers for a while after a feeding.

Yep it's definitely some stinky stuff, however it's the only pellet my fish eat, the stuff is like crack

Okay cool, I thought it was just me.....

I just feed it maybee two times a week. I have noticed if I feed it to often the whole tank will stink come water change time.

My fish love Massivore. They eat pellets and cichlid sticks, but they go absolutely berzerk for Hikari Massivore!

I have never noticed a smell, except if you open up the package and put your nose directly up to it.
