I haven't been able to find anything on this.. but I would be looking at buying a 2lb bag of massivore, and then keep it in a air tight container like one would do for dog food.

How long would that be ok to keep in there, and still be good for the fishies to eat?

I seal mine in an air-tight container, and place it next to a dehumifier. Would have gone for the freezer option but my mum will kill me.

About 6 months. Keep it in a cool, dry place.

I think it would stay alot longer than 6 months. Remember the food has some perservatives in it.

Hikari rep told me up to 12 months is safe. Personally I think 6 months to play it safe.

Edit; @ room temp.

I couldn't imagine what that stuff smells like when it is bad. It stinks even when it is fresh. Massivore--el stinko!! LOL

I have had some in a screw top container in the freezer for about a year with no issues. The fish don't care if it is cold either :)
