Hey guys,

I am currently growing out some orinos and recently picked up two rio meta's also.
Was just wondering what pellets is best for them in terms of growing up with nice colouration.
They all eat massivore, cichlid gold and foodsticks.

Which should I feed them most of?

Thanks

Give them even amounts of those pellets, it'll be the best for them. But if u must know, I'm leaning more towards massivore

Each one has it's benefits, look at the nutritional values on the packages. Some have more protein some more fat some more fiber. I personally like foods that are high in protein and fiber for my fish and during breeding higher fat content. Protein is good for growth, fiber I imagine is good for regulation and high fat foods seem to prompt breeding. It's one of the reasons live foods are used to induce breeding because of the high fat content which is good for short term energy production which helps promote breeding conditions in fish. At least that's my understanding as far as fish food goes, which I admit is very noobish, so take my post with a grain of salt. I'll also so say I prefer Kens food because of price and because of the higher nutritional values it has when compared to Hikari products which used to be my fish food of choice.

I use massivore as primary along with sinking gold and occasionaly get a bag of sticks but with the sticks it changed thier poop made it more loose an floaty instead of heavy turds lol if that makes sense....

i used massivore more myself but cichlid gold has advantages for them too. use both but id be leaning in favour of massivore.

Ahh i see, thanks for replies!
I've had one bass in the past and that just boosted when i fed massivore!
But want to grow these out so they are getting best food and colouration from food thats why considering other pellets aloong with massivores!

I'm getting great results feeding my baby bass nothing but broken up massivore. He's got a lot of spangling and I think its partly due to the massivores.
