I´ve been looking for a M.dayi for some month now..
Two weeks ago a person told me via "Ebay-Kleinanzeigen" (I guess you can compare it to aquabid..) he´d be willing to sell his 30cm Dayi to me.
But he didn´t arrive..
So I´d guess he´s one of those "funny guys" on Ebay..
Sadly you won´t find a single store or "wholesaler" who´s offering M.dayi in Germany.
Two persons who´ve been keeping M.armatus told me that I could keep an Armatus in my tank as well.
But I´m not sure about this..
I mean if they grow to 70cm in captivity the tank with 150x50cm won´t be that big compared to a 70cm M.armatus.
The tank I´ve planned to keep the Dayi in is 150x50x60cm (~ 5x1,6x2 ft) with 1,2 Metynnis altidorsalis, 1 Cochliodon basilisko and 2,2 Geophagus Tapajos Red Head.
I also planned to keep 3-4 Polypterus Delhezi in there when they reach about 15cm in length.
I´ll try to find a Dayi anyway but if I´m not able to get one.. would an Armatus be an option?
