I havent been able to tell my water ph because I use a ph drop test and a 5- in - 1 strip test. But they tell me different things! So should i get the master test kit or strips?

Master test kits. Much more accurate.

liquid is the only way to go. I use to use strips until my lfs gave me a lecture and sent me home with liquid testing. There was a difference in readings.

Liquid test it is then. But they are expensive hehe. I want to get the whole kit even though I already have the Ph drop test part. For strips, it would tell me my Ph was like 6.5 while my drop test told me 7.2 after I added in crushed coral.

I find test strips are only good for testing nitrite, nitrate is a little iffy but not horrible. The ph is always off. The ammonia strips are decent as well. Id go for the drops to test ph.

I actually use both, mainly test with the master test kit but use the 5 in 1s to ocassionally confirm my master kit and when i need a quick reading.

The master kit is actually cheaper in the long run, you get alot more tests for your money.

Drops are almost always better, but the strips are OK on the fly.

I remember when I once bought an ammonia strip test, Whenever I tried to test my water, the Ammonia strip never changed color... it had absolutely NO EFFECT AT All! so i returned it and havent tested my ammonia since then...
