Matala mats /Sump comments please.

Just got my 4 ft sump tank.
its divider into 4 chamners.
I'm planning to fill 1st chamber with Blue matala mats, then 2nd chamber with Gray matala mats.
3rd chamber with lots of ceramic , some biohome, and maybe some scrubbies?
or what would be better arrangement and media?
4th chamber back to the tank i'm also plannong on filling it up with ceramic rings?

also any feedback regarding matala mats?

Good stuff! I use em as a pre filter in my sump to keep crap out of my bio media. (SeaChem Pond Matrix). Not cheap, but last forever.

why not just pack the entire thing full of whatever type works best? With some prefilter stuff so it doesn't get clogged.

As long as you stand them up on end it should work the mats where designed not to lay flat? (I read that somewhere...)
