I am in the begining process of building an 1800 gal tank and been trying to figure out my filtration setup and have heard some good things about the Aqua Ultraviolet Ultima II 2000 or 4000 filters but i know they need a external pump to run, so being there are tons of pumps on the market that spec wise say they would work great, I would like to hear from anyone that is running a ultima II filter what make of pump they are using with it and what they think of this type of setup? Any other suggestions for filtration would be great too.

Get a Reeflo, you won't regret it.

I'm going to be using ReeFlo Barracuda Golds with my 4000s.
Recommended flow for the 4000 is 2,000-4500 gph, with optimal being 4,000 gph. The flow rate of the Barracuda Gold at 0 head is 4680 gph, so it should work great.

Well thank for all the replys. i googled the pump to see were i could buy one online from and had a hard time finding any canadian dealers or shop tha have the Barracuda model, i did find the reeflo Hammerhead but it has a 6000gph output and I think that might be to much, thoughts on this or maybe a good suggestion were to buy this pump from would be great.

There's a vendor on here that sells them. You might check with them and see if they will ship to Canada. I can't think of who it is. I'll see if I can find it.
