My new Golden Chinese Algae Eater has grown an inch this month. His nose/head is now adorned with strawberry-colored bumps (which is normal). At the same time, I'm seeing red in his tail in the same pattern that brown usually occurs in normal-colored individuals. Just to be safe, I was hoping somebody else had seen the same tail coloration in one of their own golden CAE's. Otherwise, I have to suspect something may be amiss.
