Currently I have a pair of mating Oscars (I believe both are female though). They have had 3 batches of eggs, none which have hatched. They live with some walking catfish and a JD, and they seem to get along pretty well during mating season. I now plan to try a different approach, and take the eggs out and put them into another tank next time, one which is highly oxygenated and see if they hatch that way. So what I am getting at is, if I introduce another Oscar to the tank, will they kill the new one when they want to mate? They seem to ignore all the other fish...so would they ignore the new Oscar?
Also, say my mating pair is definitely both female, and my new Oscar happens to be male.....is there any way that the 2 females will let the male fertilize the eggs? Thanks for reading, sorry the post was so long x.x

I don't think you'll have any kind of luck at all putting 3 Oscars together in a 125 g with a JD and catfish. I don't think you'd have any luck even if the tank were twice that big. The 2 resident Oscars aren't going to take kindly to what they'll see as an intruder. They won't care if he's a fishy version of Brad Pitt, they won't like it :-) If you decide to try it just make sure you've got a Plan B for the new Oscar.
