heres some pics of my fenestratus and dempsey. i think they are trying to mate. is that a sex organ on the fenestratus?hes is making a large bed but i do not see any eggs yet. what do you guys think?

The fenestratus definitely is about to lay eggs. That tube you see sticking out is where they come out.
The JD may or may not fertilize them. Does he act like part of the pair?

the dempsey sits in the bed but i thought the dempsey was a female

i have one more fenestratus its small dont know if it is a mele or not.she has just started to lay the eggs will try to get more pics

well guys this is strange the fen. has my smaller fen. confined to one corner along with my bn. the strange part is the dempsey can come and go and even sits in the nest when it wants! cant get a good picture as they are a tan color and they blend in good with river rock.
