Greetings!
I've just acquired a (female?) Paratalapia Panini to perhaps keep my older (4+ yrs) Green Terror some company in one of my 75 Gal. tanks. He's been a little sluggish since his mate (female GT) passed away about a year ago.
Since putting in the Paratalapia, Mr. GT seems to be on the verge of death! After some chasing (I expected HIM to dominate the tank!), he goes into a corner and suspends himself, head-down, like he's about to die. This occurs almost constantly, and he stopped eating since (Saturday when I put in the PP).
Is this some sort of ritual that they do? He was quite the dominant one with one of my Red Tiger Oscars, but he's the coward of the tank now. Another option may be to put him or the Para Panini in my other 75 Gal. with the Arrawana, but I don't want to lose any fish, and the Arrawana is quite aggressive as well (I'm planning on a 120 gal. tank real soon, as the Arrawana is growing real fast...8" a year ago, maybe 16" now)...
Any suggestions?
Big THanx!
