mature jd's? and gt needs a home

everywhere i look all i find are pics of jd's that are no larger than mine, (around 5 inches),,, tho i see many photo's of other cichlids that are huge, when i look at like wikpedia it says they grow around 10 inches, does anyone have photo's of these awsome fish at this size?

also i been trying to find a home for my GT, he's about 7 inches long and really mean

jd males can grow to 14inch but realy rare and if yours has stoped at 5 it might have been stunted some how or poor diet mines pushing 5inch, i pick him up about 2 months ago and he was 1.5inch but he has had a realy good diet

you have a pic to back that up?

i have never seen them over 11-12", but they definetly should get that big. If i get around to it, i'll find you the pic. there may be a chance he is stunted, but first some questions

how large is your aquarium?

feeding for it?

water changes a week?

filtration?
 
A 14 inch JD would really be a site to see. I have seen really really stout 10-12 inchers. They were both males, all black and loaded with spangles.
 
duno ile get looking for it, he was with a female in a tank about 110 so he had plenty of room. mine are going in a 120 but with a gt and others

I dont believe he said his maxed out at 5". He just asked for pictures of large adults.
 
right, mine is still only 8 monthes old lol, he's got allot more in him i think, anyone knnow if they get the hump on there heads?

i would love to see a jd over 9 inches,,,, it must be awsome looking
