Hi,i just filled my new 180g :D, my plan is to add my 2 700 lph filters which have been running for a few months on other tanks to this tank until i get my fx5 in a week or so.
How long would it take for my new tank to be cycled ? ive been told once ive treated the tap water with conditioner (which i have ), added filters etc... i should be ready to go

Or is it best to wait a few days anyway ?
Picking a test kit up tommorow so i will check water anyway, just want to do things right.

cheers :)

you're probably ready to go, I've done the same thing on my tank, and when I added my stock I had a slight ammonia spike, but the stock on it before was not as heavy, so I wasn't super surprised. I'd just pay close attention to the parameters, and be ready just in case.

I just did the same thing with my 40g, not sure if it's more timely considering you have a 180g. I set mine up on the 9th of this month and it's on it's 3rd day of being stable..

^agreed, I would check the perams everyday.. more if you want..
