Hello! So i'm currently in the process of epoxying my tank and want to hear from a few people who have used MAX ACR epoxy how exactly they achieved a proper mixture. I have colorant for it but have recently noticed that calcium carbonate is suggested for making the color opaque. Did anyone else use that? Is it necessary for a uniform color? Thanks!

I used paint cups when i mixed mine, its just a 2-1 mix so it's fairly easy. I had used some pigment in mine but didnt like the way it turned out. The pic was 3 coats into it. I was afraid of adding too much and it not curing and it looked super dark when it was mixed.

I did not use anything as well. Simple to mix like Homer said and after a few coats it does become a solid color. I don't recall how many coats it took but if I had to guess I'd say 4 or 5. I have 7 coats on mine and it's been going for over 5 years now and still looks great.

Yeah i finished mine this weekend. I bought both a white and black coloring kit for the Max ACR. What i discovered is the white pigment does not give quite as strong a color compared to the black. The black was solid in color on one coat. I'm very satisfied to say the least!
