Max size Endi´s

Did some search but did not find any final information on what the max size for the Endi´s are.

Does anyone know it

There is a thread about this in normal polypterus section. I think endlicheri endlicheri max size was 84cm not sure in inches

I believe Polypterus Congicus has been it's own species for some time now. No longer "Polypterus Endlicheri Congicus".

In the trade most people just skip the full names of the polys but as far as i know congicus have always been a subspecies to endlis..

examples:
Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri
Polypterus endlicheri congicus (subspecies)

Polypterus palmas palmas
Polypterus palmas polli (subspecies)
Polypterus palmas buettikoferi (subspecies)

Polypterus bichir bichir
Polypterus bichir lapradei (subspecies)

Polypterus senegalus senegalus
Polypterus senegalus meridionalis (subspecies) *dont know if i have ever seen a confirmed specimen of this type.

Ask King-eL for the source. I remember him posting this info on another forum. It's been confirmed recently like in 2010/2011.

There has been a recorded 32" Endi in capacitive.

I think I saw that too. Congis are now congis. BTW, calling any poly a sub species is wrong in the first place. Same grouping but not sub species.

I don't really want this to turn into a war but I don't like to be called wrong without any credence to back it up. Here is an article describing some of the palmas complex subspecies
