max size of a tat

What the max size that a tat can get? I have the space no matter how big they get, i just curios how big.


I should search to see if there is already a thread on this but i'm i a hurry sorry.

I have allways heard 18'' as well. But I have never seen one past 12-13"". And if you can get them to put on more than 1'' a year, please tell me how. I have tried groups of 3 as well as singles. I have tried 1 7''er in a 55 alone and with dithers. And even 2 7's and a 5''er in a 55 alone and with dithers. All of the above was at 83 degree's and a 35x turn over rate I have tried all 3 in a 220 with dithers and never noticed a increase in growth from one set up to the next. They just grow extremely slow.

they do grow very very slow....

if you can provide ALOT of space and good water,i dont see why they wont get ABOVE 18".
largest ive seen is 18",but im sure they are capable of more than that.

Large groups.... (5 or more) seem to create more competition resulting in decent growth rates....

There should be no reason you can't get 1/4in/mo out of them up to at leat 8 inches.

sorry DB,but anything less than half an inch per month is slow to me.
