There is no such thing as max req: No tank can be too big :grinno:

min would be around 8' by 3' which is over 400 gallons useually but a tank about 9-10' by 4' would be ideal

yeh and heaps of airstones. and chillers

chillers? what temp water do they inhabit? all the ones I've seen seem to do fine at tropical temps, and they are found in SA

I agree huge tank when larger.. they are constantly on the move..

You are talking about freshwater dorado and not saltwater dorado(different fish)?

dorado is a common name for the salt water fish i can't remember any other names for it but dorados are from S.A and do need there water at tropical temps but they do need alot of airation they like to hang out by water falls and fast water that empty into pools in the wild

wat i mean buy chillers is they dont like fluctuations. dorado or dolphin fish is a slatwater species which i would class as thee best coloured fish in the world

To me this is a Dorado...
