In the summer, my tank peaks at 90F during the day. Then in the middle of the night it drops to 87F.

They can take the heat, but probably not year round. If your weather is causing high temps just be sure to have lots of aeration though the fish can breathe from the surface, it will help them conserve energy for growth.
