Just grabbed one of these for my 125...I got it to use as a power head but seen it could also be used as a circulation pump.Anybody here have any preference on which one works better

Depends what your using it for. If you just want max water circulation use it as a circulation pump. 1300 gph in circulation mode vs. 295 as a power head. I found in my case they heat up the water substantially! So if you use heaters in your tanks it's a plus. For me on the other hand it got the water 90+ degrees!!! They are now in the box. I use the regular marineland power heads now with sponge. More for mech filtration and some water movement. I prefer Hydor Koralia as circulation pumps. They don't heat the water... They just provide circulation as intended.
