Ok so I have a 55 gallon tank. For now its lightly stocked but I'm going to add more fish in week or two. The tank is planted with water sprite and java moss and I plan to choke it with elodea later.
For filtration I have a trickle filter with 2 gallons of bioballs, a filter Pad for mechanical filtration, about 5 sqr. feet of foam packing pads for extra bio, aquaclear 70 ceramic bio media and I have pothos plants growin in the sump to suck up nitrates. I also have half a container of purigen in a filter sock.
So finally my question is how can I add more filtration capacity without adding another filter. Do you think this is adequate filtration for medium to high stocking?
I plan on adding more ceramic bio media in he near future. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
