Ok guys, just thought of an interesting q and a topic. Somebody will post a fish
and the members will give the maximum size they have ever seen one in an aquarium.

Let me start it off. One fish at a time please and please give facts not what you saw in an amazon expedition pic.

Silver Arowanas

umm.. 30 inches or so .. in long island in the back room.. huge tank . like 600G

do i post a fish now?

Zach - is this the same lfs that we went to?
Lets hear out other folks first and see how big they have seen one in a fish tank

no..by my uncles house.. i forget the name.. next time im there ill bring the camera

My cousin used to have a silver Aro that was like 30" in a 125Gal. It finnally jumped to its death after about 5 foiled attempts. no pics of it though sry.

So the average is about 24 inches full grown right ? Anybody else?
i didn't say that was the max size. i have had mine for 2 yrs, and got it at
5". and it shows no signs of stopping.

I mentioned 24 as average in home aquaria. keep in mind that this discussion is limited to fish tanks at home.
