So last night when I was at a persons house looking at a frontosa colony he has for sale, he told me about a farm trough he wanted to sell for $100. Peaked my interest so I asked to take a look.

internal vol is 275g

So add that to the deal now I have a front colony of #28 mostly F1 and 20% w/c and a big ole tub to do a pond in.

Just wanted to actually start my first pond thread since I now have a making of an indoor pond with some potential. First order of the day will be coating it with a rust resistant aquaria safe coating.

i'd put a liner in it to be safe...

I have be amassing a lot of equipement over the past 2 years and now is the time to put some of it to work.

I plan to incorporate this

and one of these as a sump

I am gonna try to do it sort of ghetto meets beverly hills sophisticated in some regards but rough around the edges.

I use farm troughs to grow algae for my feeder pond, but I also keep around 20-30 comets it there just for fun, it works great, I'm always looking for more, last summer I grew out a couple of plecos in one.

Spray in truck liner makes a good sealer.

if you can put them in another tank there are tons of epoxies and or sealants to fix this pond. urethane is cheap. easy set pools are also cheap this time of year. check craigslist or walmart. GL
