I graduate from college this May and have been applying to Grad schools. I've gotten back a few offers but one really threw me for a loop. I have a tentative offer to go to Edmonton, Alberta in Canada and study at the University of Alberta. My tuition will be paid plus a hefty salary that is three times what I make right now. By far it is the best offer I have received and provided the paperwork goes through I'm taking it. This means though that my fish can't come with me. It's going to be bad enough getting the horse, cat, and ferrets across the border. That and I don't want to put my fish through a three day car ride to Canada. So I'm facing the rather horrid decision to sell off my stock and tanks before I leave this summer. My smaller tanks won't be an issue but it is the big tank and the umbee that I worry about.

The umbee is approximately 13 inches tail length and though there has been much debate about her she has been vented and is a female unless for some unknown reason it's a male with a female looking vent. I'm not sure how old she is but she is beautiful with the typical umbee attitude. I don't even how much to ask for her or how to go about finding her a new home. I would rather not ship her as she is too large but I don't know of many people around my area are in the habit of keeping large freshwater predatory fish.
