Of all days I woke up on my birthday I see my RTC trying to swallow my beautiful oscar. It was a huge let down and I had to do a 50% water change that day, since the water let out a very foul smell. He ended up spitting him out and not eating him again.
So a few days later I let him adjust and I fed him some shrimp to see how he was doing. He doesn't seem very interested.. He ate a few though not enough to tell me he's doing fine. I was thinking of doing another water change though I don't want to stress him. It's been about a week since my birthday and wondering if there is anything I should do. He usually eats non-stop yet tonight he's not very interested. He does have a small red spot on his lip but besides that he seems healthy.
Any ideas?
The water parimeters are so-so. The ammonia has always been high no matter what I do, though even though it was high.. He has been extremely healthy. Tail red as ever and is very playful.
