Mayan Cichlid Help

I was wondering if I could put any other fish with a mayan cichlid. My tank size is 46 gallon bow front. The fish is 4 inches. Im thinking hes going to just be a lone fish. any ideas?

Probably best kept on its own in that tank.

that's too small of a tank, it won't let you add tankmates, especially in the longterm

for life, no.

If you are looking to upgrade in around half year or so, then you can put something else in there with it.

Mayans are quite aggressive like a smaller version of a red terror. Your 46g would'nt be a good permanent home.
