Mayan cichlid info

Hey guys, I've been trying to find some info about the Mayan aka uro cichlid. I got one a few days ago. He came from wild Florida along with the salvini I got. When I google them mostly all I get is articles about the invasive species to Florida. How big do they get? Mine is a 3 inch male. Diet, temper?? I've red they are aggressive but who knows lol. Mine is very very calm but size makes a huge difference. Anything you can add would be awesome! Also mine is a powdery blue color with redish orange fins and the bar behind his head is broken. Haven't seen any with broken bars.

Mine also has one broken bar.

I love them. Very interactive, true glassbangers, way underrated in favour of the Festae. Wrongly imho, because they certainly deserve their place in a big CA tank.

They are normally agressive and can cope and live with like temperamented centrals. They grow to about 15, 16 inches. Never saw bigger.

15-16 inches! Ha that's a big fish. Hopefully ill have my big tank ready before he puts on to much size. He was caught at a salvini spawning hole, and was so small I thought it would be fun to grow him out. I say him because we vented him. I'm like you idk why they don't get attention. They are not a red terror, and should not be compared to one. I can't even see how they get confused. Mine is tiny and can easily be separated from a red terror of same age.
