Maybe a stupid Arowana question...

I bought a beautiful silver aro yesterday, roughly 9-10 inches I want to say. He spends most of his time in the middle of the tank. Every other aro I've ever seen hangs out at the top. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had one not hang out at the top.

His tank mates are two florida gars of the same size. It's a 125 gallon tank and an FX5 return making current from the back right corner.

The mix with gars can end badly. Right now it is just stressed from being moved, give it a couple days.

Really? Hmm... I see aros with gars all the time. I'll see how it plays out.

i had that with my arowana also, is ur tank low ? my tank was low, so to see me he would swim in the middle but when i would sit infront of the tank he would start swiming on top

Give him time. By the way, you have the same setup that I had, back when I had my silver.. I had a 125 gallon, with an FX5 and 2 Floridas.. I never had any problems, but be careful. Good luck.
