Im thinking bout gettin out of the fish hobby being i lost my favorite fish :(
I have no clue how much i should ask for what i got. Heres a breakdown...
It will be pickup only and sold all together, Located near Savannah, GA
125 Gallon Tank
2 AC110S
2 55w Stealth Heaters
Digital Thermometer
Mag Float Glass Cleaner
Top Fin Bubbler/pump
Dozen or so misc. plastic plants
2 Pieces of driftwood (1 large, 1 small)
Glass Tops
Lights
Black 3m Color-quartz sand

Really good built stand: heres a link to my build thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/fo...d.php?t=125694

*only thing wrong with ANYTHING is theres a TINY scratch, probably couldnt even see it unless i pointed it out at the very bottom front of tank

What should i ask for it all! Im kinda on the fence about selling it but just trying to see what i should ask for it first before i make any decisions

Fish die, its part of the hobby, I'm sorry for the loss. Don't do anything out of frustration that you might regret. If anything, put the whole set-up in the garage or stor it somewhere safe for a while. Better to keep it and decide to sell later rather than make a hasty descision and regrat haveing to buy all that equipment back. You will never get what you spent for it esp if you want to get another fish....
what kind of fish was it?
Maybe try raising a different species...maybe a challenging species like Africans or a large number to school... try it out.

it was a clown knife...had him since he was bout 3-4in and he was a lil over a foot long...in the 3 or 4 years ive been keeping fish ive lost like 3, the other 2 were peacock bass but the clown knife was by far my favorite. like i said im kinda sitting on the fence with sellin it all or not for one im back in college and back at my parents house and my tank is in their living room lol

Like was said you will never get what you paid for it. Clown knifes are pretty common. The amount of time you spent in the hobby is just scratching the surface. There are so many cool looking fish out there. I have been doing this hobby for 40 years plus and learn something new every day. With me every six months or so I have a new "favorite fish". Right now my fav is an L-25 scarlet pleco. Ayear ago is was a hap---fosscochromis rosturus. What I'am saying is think before you dump that nice tank setup.

I would just go grab another fish. I lost 5 leichardtis, 3 armatus, tigrinus, big geo atli etc... I think the most fustrating part is how fast I can get the replacement. Fish will always check out n it sounds like you would be leaving due to a heart break... id just store it like the previous user said. You will regret it if sell it (financials are diff)

G/L, if you were close, id give you my 12-13" Royal Clown for free :)

If it were a matter of needing the money, sell. If it were a matter of your parents being done with it in their house, maybe ask a friend to stash it a their house? ( I had a pool table I did that with once...(stasher loved the arrangement!)
Wehave all lost fish we loved...my little Altolaprologus was the best fish in the tank...my own stupid decorations killed it(rock I stacked improperly).
I guess I really didn't answer the original question though....I would probaly ask between $400 and $500 for the whole set-up. Honestly, that would probably not get many looks either unless the tank was like 3/4" starfire glass, top-of-the-line lighting, the filters were new and the price included the stand and a canopy.
You can get that deal ALL DAY out here in SoCal. Add up what you got in the set-up, how old it is and subtract like 50% depriciation...then ask yourself if a new, better fish would be the cure.
Losing a fish will bum you out but a cool replacement can make your day!!
GL.

I had a similar situation and decided to give it all up. Three years and may frowns when driving past pet shops later I have started a new build! DONT DO IT MAN!!!! Its in your blood you can not stop!
