What MBU puffer fish combos have people had here at MFK?

Mbus will kill anything you put in the tank with them, even other mbus. They need a species only tank. Read the other thread on the subject if you want to know more about them .

mbus is not as aggressive as fahaka, most of time, they can accept some tankmate like my mbus.

i've got three mbus, the biggest one is about 60cm. i keep him together with many other fish - some giant gouramis, fire eels, knive fish, etc. with absolutely no problems!

Im gueesing it depends in the personailty of the individual fish?

IME, mbus will generally do fine in a predatory community setting as long as they aren't kept with bottom dwellers or other sedentary fish. I currently keep my 20" mbu in a 360 gallon tank along with a 20" jardini, two 16-18" temensis, seven 14-17" redtail brycon, two 14-16" dorado, two 8-10" Indo dats, and a 10" paratilapia small spot. The only problems I've ever experienced with my mbus have been nipping the fins of catfish and bichirs and aggression between two mbus.
