My LFS (Big Al's), one of their employees was trying to convince me that an MBU would be fine in a 90G.

Everything I've read online has said otherwise. I was wondering if it was doable as an only fish in the tank.

I will say no MBU get way to big for a 90 for any lenght of time.... I also do not think they need 800 gallons like you will here from a lot of people on here.

:iagree:They can get up over 24'', and I've heard rumors of almost 36" MBU's. Looks like you're in the market for a bigger tank. 500 gal. should do.

Basically speaking a 90G DEFINITELY will not work for with an MBU for life... considering even a Fahaka has a recommended tank size of no less than a 125G, so 90G for a MBU is a definite No No.... although personally speaking for an MBU i would go with nothing less than about 800G... but thats just me...

Is there a good online resource/website to read up on puffer information? Google isn't finding anything truly concrete..

try the pufferforum.com or read through the always entertaining threads about tank size for a mbu here on mfk.
