i just got my mbu about a week ago. it was fine but toda i noticed that the tails been rotting. i saw it but i thought it was just some sort of slime or algae growing on it. then today i spread the tail and damm.. the top proportion of the tail is red and white and slimyish. does anyone know what this is? and how to treat it? the puffer stopped eating too. so im worrying about its healthy overall.

parameters good. i do water change every other day on that tank. i have 5 thinbars 2 indos and a green. the mbus biggest in the tank. its not caused by aggresion because everybody leaves to themselves. i know its either fungus or parasites. so im guessing to use tetryacyceralkjdflkahsdljfha whatever that med is called.

I ask about other fish because I had some flagfish in with mine and noticed the buggers were nipping at his tail. Looked kinda like you described. I'm sure you know but be careful with meds, Mbus are extra sensitive.
