On tuesday night I noticed two sores on my mbu puffer and they appear to be internal. Yesterday morning I placed him in a 55 gallon tub and used Cupramine because it was only type of medication I had.

Now my question is, should I use carbon to take out the cupramine and use something else? And if I decide to do that, what medications do you suggest?

Thanks in advance!

cupramine is for parasitic treatment, so unless you've noticed the symptoms of parasites I wouldn't use it.

what does the sores look like? unless we can figure out what is it, I can't and don't want to recommend a medication.

we need more information such as behavioral change (if any), diet change, water tests, etc.

The night I found the sores, he would not eat anthing I offered him. No change in his diet. I did a thirty percent water change the day before. I didn't conduct a water test yet. All the tetras and rasboras are find, but I will test.

The sores are white. About the size of a fingernail.
