Help please. My mbu puffer around 17 inch and I notice something is protruding from its tail area? Is this a parasite. If it is, how do I treat it. Mbu hasn't lost its appetite. Eats daily. When I got him, he was treated using parizpro.

Hard to make out in the pics. Could be. But can be pulled off with tweezers or needle nose pliers if it’s stuck.

Better pic will be helpful. More info would be too, like how long you've had it? Tank mates? What do you feed it? When was the last time you added another live animal to the tank?
