hi guys just bought a baby mbu the other day. he seems very pale? most pics online i see their black spots are really showing. Hes only 4 inches now. he eats and swims around fine seems healthy but just looks pale? is it because i have white sand in the tank? any help would be much appreciated thanks!!!

Yup, most likely due to just the light color substrate...

My Fahaka is a really light color as well coz of the sand substrate in her tank...

That's just stress colors. Once he settles in he will pattern up better. My mbu still does it from time to time when thinking about how to open a clam. Homer is right also, change to a darker substrate to bring out pattern.
