i got a couple of rosy reds for my pike and i wanted to see if my african cichlids would eat one
well my acei ate seconds after it hit the water
i had quarantined them for a couple of days and fed them lots of color food

i know they are mostly herbivores in the wild but, is this an okay treat every once in a while?

why feed as a treat? i dont understand that, they dont eat in the wild so why do it
flat out no for an answer :)

many bad petstores do it, why because they do not know better. I would not recommend doing it. It is unhealthy for them. I do know that others like to do it. I can not see why...

well, i dont have a turtle, but i do have a little pike cichlid and a port cichlid, and i put one in that tank, to see if the pike would eat the rosy (which was about 1/4 as big as her) and she had it in her mouth when the big port rolled over there and slurped it up
