Well I decided to go to Mbuna for my 125. My wife likes them a lot and wanted them in the dining room again. Anyways, any suggestions on a good LFS with some different non hybrid "rarer" Mbuna? By that I mean a place with something other than the "mixed African tank" and with something other than yellow Labs, kenyi and etc... I thought about Golden Fish, but she seems to usually have mainly haps and peacocks. Suggestions?

i was going to mention golden fish but like you said already. but she does seem to have the most in stock. she's a family friend so i used to go often. maybe try fish den on w 44th?

Im up towards FT collins and when I did africans I used several local LFS here that used to get me whatever I wanted along with some private sellers.

But here is one to check out

http://cichlidsofcolorado.com/

Id also check Craigslist.

The cichlids of Colorado may also be able to put you in touch with specialized breeders.

Thanks for the input. Fish Den seems to usually have run of the mill stuff. Not sure if it's worth a trip.

I discovered that site after I made this thread. Looks promising. I emailed the guy. Thanks.

Tyler I would suggest going to one of the RMCA monthly meetings. I think there are a few people breeding some locally and you might find some more "rare" types for some of the members. You may also want to give John and Dan Ye a call, thye may be able to give you some connections.

About fish always seems to have alot of africans, I just don't know enough to really comment on what they have.

Cool. Thanks guys. Where is Bob located? I can't bring up that site on my phone for some reason.
