More than likely going to be a hybrid of some sort. We threw 20 or so Mbuna in a 500g indoor pool over a year ago and they just bread all the time. By the time we drained the pool, their were many varities of Mbuna in their. We sold most but wanted to keep this guy because he is very pretty. So any suggestions on what type of hybrid/zebra complex it might be drop me a line. Or if he might be close to something more pure thatd be cool too. thx again. male grenski sp* hybrid at all perhaps?

Did you have any Cynotilapia afras in there? It has a what looks like part of that in him/her.

The lineage of this fish could be anything and so figuring out what it really is would probably take DNA testing or something like that. I would just call the fish a hybrid of some sort and call it day because you'll never know for sure - and we can't tell you what it is without even knowing what you threw in there.

It is a nice looking hybrid - keep it, enjoy it, etc., but please don't pass it off as anything other than a hybrid when you're done with it (that is if you don't keep it until it dies).
