Probably a lab/zebra mix. These are often crossbred to make an all yellow fish like the one pictured. Yellow labs would have the black markings.

The head/face/mouth is wrong for a lab. What was it sold as?

I can't remember what they sold it to me as, but he/she is pretty docile. At least right now.
 
Looks more like a young (or male... or both) kenyi to me

Impossible to say with certainty by those pics, but I don't think that it's a kenyi (Maylandia lombardoi) either. No vertical barring which typically shows in males, and no sign of egg spot/s. Male kenyi are also typically anything but docile. Quite the opposite.
 
I'm going to have to go back to the LFS and ask the guy what it is. I don't think it's a Kenyi either due to the lack of barring.
 
I think that you need to start with what it was sold as, and go from there. Your pictures aren't great, and all we are doing is playing a guessing game.
