mbuna need sexing

The only one you'll be able to sex visually is Kenyi, if it's a male it'll start turning yellow, if it's a female it'll remain that color. Others will need to be vented. I know they say estherae males are paler in comparison to very bright orange females, but I've had pale females that have held, and also the whole thing with acei male's dorsal fin turning blue towards the ends, I've seen numerous females with the same coloration. With mono species it's always better to vent to know for sure.

How big are they?

the red zebra is about 2 1/4" and the kenyi and acei are just about 2", and can you explain the "venting", kinda new to this not too sure what it is

There is plenty of discussion of venting on here. The search feature helps a lot. Good luck.
