i just bought a 5" wc male frontosa to add into my mixed 55g tank. And my 5" acei is pickn on him alil todays is only the frontosas 2nd day in the tank. Do u think the acei will stop.
Heres my stock
1 wc frontosa male 5"
1 acei male 5"
1 blue dolpin 4"
1 ahli 4"
1 female fire ob 3"
1 red empress 2"
1 albino sunburst 1 1/2"
1 red jacob 1 1/2"
1 gombie 2"
2 yellow breeders 3 & 4"
3 albino socolofi 2"
Growing the socolofi till lil bigger then gona sell 2

I have had this combination before and my frontosa never got the food required and was malnourished. I maintained this combo for about 2 years. The aggression never got so bad that I had to remove anyone but the frontosa never got the food. Since then I have gotten rid of all my cichlids except my frontosa and he has doubled in size in six months. The frontosa are too passive compared to the mbuna. So my advice is to chose the mbuna or the frontosa.

I am surprised that the Acei is picking on him, I had a 5" Acei and it was the most docile Mbuna I have ever seen. I even decided to put one in my peacock tank and he is fine.

Acei are docile but they are still mbuna. My acei in my tank can hold their own easily against more aggressive mbuna.

Your tank is waaaaaay too small for that Frontosa.
First off, Fronts are not aggressive, they will get bullied and dominated.
They are from Lake Tanganyika as opposed to Lake Malawi like your Mbuna.
The Fronts do best in a colony with other fronts. Mixing them with Mbuna is a bad idea.
Please get that front out of there and in a suitable tank and environment. A 6' tank is pretty much required when keeping Fronts.
