Hi guys, I just got back into aquariums and decided to go with a mbuna tank. My question is can I add another species and what should I add if its ok? My current setup is 60g with 4 Yellow labs , 4 Yellow Tail Acei , and 4 Rustys. Fish rang from 1" to 2". Im new to the site and loving the info thanks.

As long as you have enough filtration you should be ok adding some more fish. Just make sure you have enough filtration. None of the species you have chosen are overly aggressive, so make sure you choose one that will have a similar temperament (http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/category.php?cat=2). This site is helpful when trying to choose new mbuna species. One last thing is that it is usually recommended to have a ratio of 1 male to 3 females. This helps females from getting picked on once the males become sexually mature and spreads aggression. Again, this is not quite as imperative since your species are pretty docile, but might be something to work towards.

One last thing to be aware of is that mbuna (when males and females are mixed) breed pretty readily, so you will probably have babies swimming around pretty soon. Most will likely get eaten unless you do something to prevent that, but just make sure your tank doesn't get overrun with babies.
