i have a 125 gallontank with lots of rocks. i would like to know if i could have a sunburst peacock with them. the mbunas are, yellow labs, a few red zebras, a few kenyis, and other assorted mbunas. could i add a peacock

With Kenyis I wouldn't suggest it. I even had problems with just red zebras being too much for peacocks and haps.

I put Zebras and peacocks together in my 100g when they were all the same size and so far no major problems. A little chasing here and there but there's alot of caves for them to hide in.

well i have a kenyi and she is one mean sob... she chases everything and attacks anyone she sees... if your kenyi's are the same behaviorwise i wouldn't suggest it...

i have peacocks/mbuna/tropheus in a 55 gallon. 18 cichlids total, havent had problems since i moved all of em in there.

Yes and you have had anything but the norm for luck. (And I would still be watching out in another 6 or so months... when everyone gets into full adulthood.) Your tank is very nice, I just have to stress that you are extremely lucky that it is working so well for you.

As it has been said in general mbuna are either eaten by haps... or the mbuna will pick/scare/scar at the peacocks such that your exspensive fish wont show color and be more susceptible to illness (or they can ever just downright kill them) because of the cheaper mbuna. I am not saying it wont work. I am saying that if you do want to try it have another tank ready for when things go wrong.
