I tried reading a lot of threads on this site and others but i don't really see an important piece of information, or it varies drastically.....what does a puffer eat on a weekly basis at different sizes.

I know they will eat:
Frozen: mussel, cockle, prawn, king prawn, crabs, crab legs, bloodworms, black worms, silversides
Live: snails, crayfish, shrimp, earthworms, crickets, meal worms, bloodworms, black worms
Freeze dried: plankton

But how much per feeding and how many feelings a week?

One person told me when they are small(under 5" counting tail) they only need a few shrimp(or equivalent) every other day. Then I've heard that ones that same size need twice that much and need it every day. Basically I'm confused, haha

I have fed our Mbu 95% whole crayfish for his entire life. Smaller crayfish when he was younger, larger as he got older. Once per day, typically 2-3 crayfish per feeding. He is 25" long now and eats 3-4 med/lg. adult crayfish per day. We supplement with prawn tails (shell-on), live mussels, and garden snails when in season but whole crayfish are basically is staple diet.

Hope this helps.
