I've got some information on the known species that are associated with each area, I'll put one drainage per reply below.

The following is a list of known species to occur in this drainage. It is probably not complete, just what could be turned up on the internet. Also, not all species are located throughout the drainage, so well narrow down the area after the poll. If anybody know if I missed a species, please let me know, via pm and I will add it to the list.

James river info:
Small mouth bass, largemouth bass, Rock Bass, redbreast sunfish, green sunfish, blue gill, Channel catfish, flathead catfish, white catfish, blue catfish, Fall fish, muskellunge, carp, Bowfin, longnose gar, pike, chain pickerel, various bullheads and madtoms, various daces and shiners, and pretty much all centrarchids. If we wanted to do a bowfin/gar trip, this would be the only place I’ve found that offers both.

james for me

though the shenandoah drainage(which is prob the closet for me i believe) has a new type of sculpin for my collection, which i alctually need more than the bowfin or gar(which i dont have alot of room for ATM, hopefully soon)

both of those, im interested in. I do have some one who is interested in buying some bowfin..... :)
any clue whats in the rest?
Im really in need of the sculpin varietys... and need to custom build a tank for them...... hmmmm.....

Shenandoah is right near me, well a section of it. There is also a stretch where the Potomac and Shenandoah meet (Harpers Ferry) that is pretty promising looking, though it is a nat'l park, so i donno.

I also have an 88 acre backyard, so if people wanted to come and camp out, etc, we could more than likely accommodate.

So far the interest seems to be the james river, we will see what the nanfa's say. The poll is open for two weeks, so we got time. IF we do decide to do the james river, we could also do another one in a month or so up at harpers ferry. I was up that way once in the boyscouts on a canoe trip, and it seems pretty cool. I've also got a small boat that we could ferry people around in.
