hi all, been feeding my fish some meal worms instead of feeder goldfish as a treat and they seem to love them. guy at the store suggests them and they are high in protien while feeders are not. usually you feed mealworms to lizards, etc - but the fish dont mind them. :headbang2

i posted a video shot with my olympus sw 1030.

yes i know i need a bigger tank for these guys! this is my fish rescue tank (everyone in there I was given or went to pickup from someone) now looking for a 220g+

Even the small jack demps got in on the action and grabbed some (although it took them while to chew and swallow the worm)

I put mealworms in for my Oscars but my Silver Dollars get most of them the greedy pigs!

Only fed mealworms to reptiles, but apparently my clown loaches love roaches. Found a skeleton of one floating around in my 125 when I cleaned it today. Gross.

My Oscar only eats mealworms and other live bugs.
I read that in the wild 60% of an Oscars diet concists of bugs and worms and larvae that fall of the trees.
No wonder they like them.lol

I gut load the large meal worms for my O's and aro. They also enjoy earthworms and crickets which I also gut load.

what do you gutload your bugs with? Ive been loading mine up with hikari gold.

I just crush up some NLS pellets and I also put fruit/veggie scraps in with them and they eat it up.
