Got a lot of mealworms that turned into little beetles, I have been feeding them vegetables and bread. Not so keen on breeding them as mealworms are pretty cheap in my part of the world and its just not worth the effort. Can I just feed these bugs to my 5 inch dovii ?

If they can digest a mealworm i shouldnt see why they carnt digest the beatle that they turn into !!!
i fed them to my trimac and he loved them! plus the beetles move fast on top of the water! its fun to watch them go after them once they realize what they are.
I dropped a bug last night into the tank, the dovii saw the bug and went closer to investigate the weird creature on the surface, The Dovii stared at the bug for a few seconds probably asking himself, "Can it fit in my mouth or will it kill me ?" . He suddenly charged and swallowed the bug and then spit it back out, tried again and spit it back out again. Bug is helplessly sinking, several feeder fish attacks the bug and a feeding frenzy begins.
