Mealworms?

Anyone ever fed mealworms to their pikes before? I have used them for other cichlids many years ago, but not since I rediscovered life after peacock bass

I remember them being very easy to gut load with all sorts of things......like bee pollen and Spirulina.

Any thoughts?

NIghtcrawlers... I just can't get past the pinchers on the mealworms and that nasty exoskeleton. but my guys go bonkers for nightcrawlers. I feed them pellets before offering my spiney eels worms to keep them from eating them all.. and the lil' punks will throw-up the pellets to make room for more nightcrawlers >.< ... So everyone ends up eating way more worms then I intended to feed the tank to begin with.

LOL.....that's pretty damn funny about them spitting up the pellets to make room for more worms......LOL!!

I feed a lot of earthworms, just looking to vary the diet a bit.

Mine love blackworms...well just worms in general i guess

I feed mine freeze dried mealworms from Ken's fish. The fish love them, and you don't have to deal with the ick factor.
