I had a blue channel cat and some feeders in my tank for cycling purposes and just added my baby pbass and baby oscars and i tell you what, that cat is one mean sucker. he is about an inch bigger than the others and chases them quite often. anyone else have experiences like this with the channels?

Wow, my channels are all pretty peaceful. I have three ranging from 9-10" down to 3" and havn't had a problem with any of them. I had a 2.5-3" id shark in with them, and it was fine, and they are in with a small sturgeon and some perch right now and dont bother them at all. (they hog all the food... but could care less about the other fish)

nope ... when i had mine (10") if the lights were on, he wasn't moving. he could have been a week with no food, and a comet could swim arcoss his nose, but if the lights were on and i was in the room, he was a statue staring at me

My guy (25") swims constantly with lights on and off. Eats shrimp, hotdogs, crickets, and cichlid pellets. Never bothers anyone, although my oscars try to fight him constantly as they don't like his activity level. He just ignores them as he's 3x their size.

mine is about 12 in but hes the same way. Both of mine are pretty active but they dont fight. I dont feed them hotdogs though. lol. Originally when i bought them i had two cichlids in there but they quickly made dinner of them.
