guess what happens to a 2" H. carpintis when he is put into a 6"ish ARTCs tank in just 7 hrs
no tail, no fins, one eye lost
now the fellow is recovering in my smaller tanks
i so very thought the fellow could fend for himself
but i was wrong
will try a bigger one next time
just didn't want my cat to get hurt as carpintis can get really nasty but not as nasty as the ARTC i guess

i am not sad that the carpintis was attacked
i was just surprised that the wyckiodes can be such an ass
i am trying to just find the right fish my cat can live with
gonna try to add some or the other fish till he gets 9" or so after that for sure there is no hope and that will be my fifth single specimen tank

ARTC are nasty as he**!!!! I wouldn't have done that in the 1st place, hope your carpinte heals. Next time get a bigger one. It's common sense, a 2 inch carpinte can't defend itself against a 6 inch cat. Better luck next time.
