Hey guys i am thinking of selling the fish from my brackish tank and turning it into yet another predator tank. before i do that tho i was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas of real cool fish that i could throw in there. even kept as a solo fish in the tank. i was thinkin for solo fish either a red wolf fish or elongatus piranha. id say rainbow snakehead but im in ontario so its illegal :s anyways id appreciate any input on it. or if a brackish tank is cooler ill just keep it :p

im really thinkin about those. cuz i know once they get use to u they will come "beg" for food. and they r still mean :p

It's not mean, but there are few fish cooler than the gulper catfish. I have wanted one for so long, I just don't have the tank space. They are AWESOME!!!

they are not mean! lol. what do you mean by that? They are hands down the best fish to keep in a 40 gallon.

Keep it brackish and get a Tetraodon Fluviliatis/Bengal puffer. 40g might get too small in a couple years but these fish are

Gulpers are waaaay overrated

well i know gulper catfish get fairly big. not so much long but wide. and i dont wana upgrade my tank to accomodate it as i already have a large tank on the go for my 3 gatf's

also i dont want a puffer cuz they are aggressive and i personally think they r lame fish :p ill let my gf keep them. id rather keep my archers/dragon goby/mud skipper then have a puffer

but im puttin some serious thought into gettin the red wolf. but how aggressive are they? like im guessin not as much as piranha but still will put a pounding on most fish. is a 40 enough tho for a full grown one?

Yes. For a red yes. But if you want more lively, look at the golden wolf.

I am not excatly sure, but i believe you could keep one in there....and it is appleas and oranges, in terms of behaviour.
